Another installment of free tarot card spreads: the phases of the Moon spread.
Place one card for each of the 5 positions: new, 1st quarter, full, last quarter, outcome.
I use this one a lot at parties because it’s a nice, short, complete spread with only 5 cards.
For those who don’t know, there are 4 basic moon phases, new, 1st quarter, full, and last quarter.
The new moon is the beginning phase, the planting of the seed, if you will. This is where the querent (or person asking the question) is at presently.
The full moon is the culmination of the seed planted at the new moon. This is what the querent wants to achieve, where they want to go, what they desire.
The first quarter is how you will get there, or how the querent will get there. The first quarter is the vehicle.
The last quarter is the lesson of the entire journey. What does it all mean? What needs to be brought into consideration?
The last card is the outcome, which ties everything together.
